Hello there!

I’m Ashlyn Markowitz (she/her), a professional actress, singer, and dancer from Rochester, NY, currently enrolled at Savannah College of Art and Design for a BFA in Acting.

I have never found something that makes me feel as alive as this industry does. Maybe it's the extrovert in me that loves making connections, but I want to establish those bonds through performing for the rest of my life. I want to explore the world and make as many connections as possible, whether that's on stage, in front of a camera, or directing.

July 2024 was spent on the other side of the country in the booming city of Los Angeles. I resided in West Hollywood on the LA campus of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and partook in their “Script to Screen” 4-week program, where I created a script with my incredible scene partner and we got to work it until finality. Being in LA was life-changing, and my ultimate goal is to relive the joy I felt there creating films and acting around the world.

My most recent performance on stage was Giraffes Can’t Dance, where I played the lead role of Gerald the Giraffe. Through this show, I set a record as the youngest actor to ever play a lead at TYKEs Children’s Theater.

I have had the honor of being in 2 World Premieres; Tracy Jones, written by Stephen Kaplan, and RISE: A New Musical, written and composed by Joshua Daniel Hershfield. We premiered the latter in Rochester, NY, and got the opportunity to perform again in Syracuse in August 2024.

I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, great with kids, a loving cat owner (but lover of all animals and reptiles alike), and nothing brings me more joy than making connections through performing. Thank you for visiting my website!
